David Farmer drove his VBP equipped 2001 Z06, to a convincing win on May 19, 2002 at Mosport International Raceway in Ontario, Canada. Farmer, a privateer from North Carolina, won the race by .244 seconds in front of the factory backed Honda NSX! This was Corvettes first win of the year in the very competitive SPEED GT series. David set the fastest lap of the race over the tricky 2.459 mile Mosport course at 1:28.374 –100.168 MPH.
David qualified third behind the factory Audi and Honda, but was able to run them down and take the lead during the race. David was very complimentary of the way that the VBP composite springs, tie rod ends, brakes, poly upper and lower control arm bushings performed.
Farmer is a dedicated Corvette racer. He races on a tight budget and with a minimal pit crew. He is amazed how his production C5 Corvette performs against factory prepared competitors that cost well over $250,000. VBP is proud of David’s Mosport win. He is truly an outstanding driver. VBP is here to support people like David with our wide range of track proven products. David, we hope you continue bringing Corvette to Victory Lane!
